The Other Body / Celălalt corp
We always need a reference to define the realities that surround us. From everlasting we operate with dualism, stereotypes, labels: culture vs. nature, rational vs. irrational, right vs. wrong, normal vs. abnormal, mind vs. body etc.
We permanently divide the world into "us" and "the others" on grounds of cognitive comfort. We divide it, but we also create hierarchies, classifications and assessments with direct and indirect consequences on us, but especially on "others".
"The Other" is one of the most interesting and generous concepts in humanities and social sciences, constantly linked to the concept of identity in definitions and discussions.
